Ballroom, Country, Swing and Line
Born to a musician, Joan began studying music at the age of five, and she still considers herself primarily a musician and her body the instrument. Her passion is to make music come alive in a visual performance. Her calling is to help others do the same. Joan is available for private lessons in American Smooth and Rhythm, International Latin, Country-Western, Swing, and Line Dance. She can also help you refine your instrument with private sessions in core development, strength training, flexibility, and balance. Joan leads a popular line dance class on Monday nights at 8pm at Southern Star Ballroom Center where you can learn short routines choreographed to specific popular songs. “Line dancing is all about individual expression and learning to dance your own body. It can improve your technique for all your other dances.”
